10 Days 100 Challenges 5 ECTS or 10 ECTS 

10 DAYS 100 CHALLENGES programme provides multi-disciplinary innovation program for students, professionals, entrepreneurs and highly educated immigrants during the summer season as well as providing opportunities for teaming up. 

The program utilizes learning by doing, peer learning, teamwork, and service design and lean methods and is part of service design and innovation studies. The participating companies give business challenges and look for ideas and co-creation with the participating teams.  10 Days 100 Challenges programme is available for Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia degree and exchange students free of charge.

Cambridge Venture Camp, 5 ECTS 

Cambridge Venture Camp is a once in a lifetime experience for any aspiring startup entrepreneurs. This 2-week business development camp guides them to success through mentoring, workshops and lectures from experts. The Camp is open for all Haaga-Helia, Laurea, Metropolia Bachelor, and Master degree students, as well as exchange students, and will be organized in Helsinki district (1 week) and Cambridge (1 week). Cambridge traveling costs are covered by the program for attending students.  In order to apply for this program, each applicant should have their an own business idea, which they are will develop during the camp. There are 17 places available for the camp. Selections will be done based on business idea potential and applicant’s personal competence in the interviews. You can apply also as a team, but all team members information has to be filled in. If the team is bigger than 2 persons, only 2 persons can participate in the Cambridge week.

CERN BootCamp 2019, 10 ECTS 

Multidisciplinary Master´s Studies

CERN BootCamp is an innovative study concept, which will be co-created together with CERN, universities and companies for each implementation. BootCamp provides a unique international learning experience to the group of Master’s degree students with multidisciplinary educational background. The focus of the studies is to solve societal problems or challenges of the case organizations by applying service design methods to have a genuinely people centered, empathetic approach. There will be max. 25 places available for the Bootcamp (max. 20 master’s degree students from Haaga-Helia, Laurea, Metropolia, max. 5 students form UNI.) 

The selection of students will be made based on the students’ study achievements, completed credits, motivation to participate, interaction skills, and the information provided in the application form and group discussion. In addition, multidisciplinarity of the student group will be taken into account in the selection process. Travelling costs to/from Switzerland and accommodation at the CERN hostel are mainly covered by the universities of applied sciences.

Digital Wellbeing Sprint, 5 ECTS 

Would you like to learn design thinking in practice? Would you like to challenge your skills with real client?

Digital Wellbeing Sprint is an open innovation and co-creation sprint where multidisciplinary and multicultural teams work on developing, prototyping and testing user-centered digital solutions in real-life challenge. During the Sprint you will innovate future services for healthcare and wellbeing service providers coming from public and private sectors. The Sprint is run agile way (6.5., 10.5., 17.-18.5., 21.-22.5.2019 + field work). Students to the Sprint will be selected based on pre-assignments, which will be announced in this webpage by 17th February, 2019. The Sprint programme is available for Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia degree and exchange students free of charge. Others 240 € attendance fee.
